#FROMNOTHINGTOSOMETHING
D DOUBLE E
Episode 4 of From Nothing To Something sits down with D Double E, one of grime's most influential voices since the early 2000s. "Ragga, rap, jungle, grime, dubstep, funky, I'm on everything," he says of a career built on range rather than one lane.
Asked what Hoodrich means to him, D Double E describes it as that early stage of success: enough to feel confident without needing to have made it all the way, the phase every artist on the come-up recognises.

What does "Hoodrich" mean to you?
"The word Hoodrich means to me, the first stages of coming up, you know when you're feeling good, you're nice right now. It's not the rich where you're gone, it's the rich where you can just pull out five bills, pull out a grand and it's like you're nice- coming up in the game when you're young, trying to find a way and you're fresh as well, you know what I'm saying?"
